A stranger arrives at the base and claims to Nick that he is a friend of the seaplane owner. While Bailey is absent, a stranger shows up at the house, asserting to Nick that he is an old acquaintance of his father —however, he is revealed to be far from it.

E3 - When The Band Begins To Play

Bailey accompanies a general to the unveiling of a monument. The general, named Kelvin, goes back to dedicate a war monument that Bailey believes is best left forgotten. However, it appears that General Kelvin has unresolved matters to deal with. The ceremony faces jeopardy as the general is charged with taking treasure from the villagers many years ago.

E4 - A Funny Kind Of Hero

Nick ends up in the water while on a fishing trip and is rescued by two elderly Chinese individuals. He overturns his boat, and Loki and a lively old Chinese man named Lintang pick him up. Bailey's son, Nick, is rescued after his boat overturns and is taken captive.

Nick joins Bailey in the sea-plane charter business but when he meets an Indian girl, he is convinced he has seen a ghost. Nick returns home after leaving school in Australia. One night, he spots what he initially thinks is a ghost but turns out to be an Indian girl in a sari. Later, he encounters her in the city and decides to chase after her to uncover her motives.

The woman doctor wants to fly up country for research purposes. But her destination is the territory of a notorious old bandit called "The Tiger." Flying into the one-time territory of a notorious old bandit poses a semiserious question: is he still in business?

A killer tiger terrorizes schoolchildren and pilot Bailey is torn between staying to protect them and transporting an injured man to hospital in his seaplane.

Bailey's struggling airline suddenly receives two offers it cannot reject. Bailey accepts a job to transport goods for a woman, unaware that she is actually a gunrunner. A dubious businessman attempts to seize the aircraft.

Bailey foolishly signs a contract to deliver a package that happens to be a carved coffin leading to ensuing complications.

Tension on a decaying rubber plantation. Emily Carruthers and faithful retainer, Imbi, live alone on a decaying rubber plantation, which was founded and managed by her late husband. Carl is landed with the unsavory task of handing her umpteenth eviction notice —the estate is now the property of the Sabai government and people and should long ago have been handed back.
